As the Dining Services Manager, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the dining services operations in the Cedar Crest community. These responsibilities include oversight of procurement, preparation and service of the food, financial management of the department, supervising and training the dining services team members. They also include ensuring safe food handling and sanitation of food areas, inventory and rotation of products, accurate record keeping and both federal and state regulatory compliance. You will establish and maintain excellent relationships with Cedar Crest residents, families and guests as well as other departments and vendors, and practice excellent communication and organizational skills by educating, developing and inspiring the Dining Services team.
Desired Qualifications:
- Excellent understanding of current federal and state regulations in food handling, food storage, food preparation, food safety and sanitation
- 3-5 years of experience as a manager in food service
- At a minimum you must meet one of the following qualifications:-registered dietitian, certified dietary manager, certified food service manager or have an associate’s or higher degree in food service management or hospitality from an accredited institution of higher learning
