Job Summary:

  • Under minimal supervision, performs lawn & Grounds maintenance and snow & Ice Management as well as other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate work schedules for project and general maintenance of the grounds for appearance and safety

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for mowing, weeding, planting and trimming as assigned
  • Responsible for snow and Ice Management as assigned
  • Responsible for maintaining and repairing grounds equipment.
  • Work with Facilities Manager for planning of projects and general grounds maintenance. Provide information as needed for repairs and budgeting of services
  • As needed, coordinate contractors for grounds services
  • Maintain efficient operations and provide direction/leadership to other grounds keepers as required
  • Responsible for a variety of other outdoor grounds maintenance duties such as lawn care, pruning of trees and shrubs, leaf removal, removal of debris and other miscellaneous ground maintenance.
  • Responsible for general repairs and maintenance of the irrigation system as assigned
  • Attend designated in-service training programs and disaster drills (This is part of the requirements of Cedar Crest)
  • Other duties outdoors or indoors as assigned

During winter, to maintain a safe and accessible facility, the position is subject to being on call as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate a commercial riding mower, snow removal equipment as well as other power equipment
  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Ability to or have attained an EPA Licensed Category III Pesticide/Chemical applicator

Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm.
